Charitable Work

Until the establishment of this hospital, Lohara was a village located hours away from any medical services. After hearing many tragic stories of lives lost due to the inaccessibility of medical aid, Mr. Singh put his mind towards doing something about this problem. After brainstorming, the decision was to build a hospital. Created in the memory of Mr. Singh’s mother and established in the year 2000, the Lohara Hospital has been providing medical care to not only Lohara, but to many surrounding villages and towns. Today, in addition to basic medical services, the Hospital hosts multiple events throughout the cooler winter months where thousands of people are provided with free eye surgeries, free dental care, and free general checkups. Five Rivers Capital is proud to contribute funding towards this Hospital and we’re proud to have a CEO who has so selflessly given back.

This organization is a collective of low-cost schools directed at providing education in rural parts of India to those who are less fortunate. With 129 schools established in underdeveloped parts of Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh, Akal Academy has provided access to over 70,000 students who would otherwise have to forgo education altogether. Five Rivers Capital proudly sponsors many students annually.

Rotary International, founded in 1905, stands as a global beacon of service and humanitarianism. With its motto “Service Above Self,” this organization boasts over 35,000 clubs in nearly every corner of the world. Rotary’s remarkable journey has been characterized by unwavering dedication to eradicating polio, with the PolioPlus program making significant strides in this battle. Beyond polio, Rotary is a catalyst for diverse projects, from clean water initiatives to educational support. Through collaboration, Rotary clubs unite leaders from various fields, shaping a brighter future. This brief introduction merely hints at the profound impact of Rotary International, a testament to humanity’s capacity for positive change.
